ENGLEWOOD, Co -The Denver Broncos have released tight end Richard Gordon, once again, the team announced on Wednesday.
The release of Gordon marks the third time the team has waived Gordon since he was signed in October. The merry-go-round for Gordon included a five-game stretch where he was active but he never registered a catch and was waived in December, spending the rest of the season without a team.
Denver added Gordon back to the roster after the Super Bowl but has now waived him again after adding former Texan Garret Graham as well as two undrafted college free agents in Iowa’s Henry Krieger Coble and Southern Utah’s Anthony Norris.
Gordon has been rag-dolled around a bit by Denver but he will get a Super Bowl ring for his services during the season, the trials and tribulations of an NFL journeyman.
