Von Miller has been all over the sports and entertainment world since his magnificent Super Bowl 50 performance. He has certainly earned the attention on the football field, playing some of his most impressive ball in the Denver Broncos’ playoff run. He has also been building his brand off of the gridiron. He is active on social media, trolling Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, has run the late night circuit and even appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show. However, he may be appearing on a much more lively and lengthy show for the nation to see in mere weeks.

According to multiple sources, Miller will appear as a contestant on ABC network’s Dancing With the Stars television show. One source revealed that Miller stated he was traveling to Los Angeles this week to not only appear on NFL Network but to also begin training for the show.

Due to possible contractual obligations with ABC, neither Miller or his representatives would go on record with a comment. ABC is understandably trying to keep the season 22 contestants under wraps until the cast unveiling, scheduled for March 8 on Good Morning America. Thursday, ABC could not be reached for a comment.

This weekend, several sources including ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Broncos and Miller have not been able to come to an agreement on a long-term deal, despite being close in negotiations. Tuesday, he was given the team’s exclusive franchise tag for just over $14 million to play in Denver this season. While he awaits his next long-term contract it seems he will be participating in his other passion, dancing.

Miller is often seen at practice breaking it down and having a great time, known amongst his teammates as an avid dancer and all-around jovial player. It seems like a match made in heaven for Miller and fans of the popular ABC show. Here he is just months ago busting a move to Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.”

While Miller is training and ultimately dancing on national TV, he and his agents will be working to solidify his next contract with the Broncos. Miller’s exclusive tag means he will remain with the team for at least the 2016-17 season and both sides remain adamant that they want to continue their professional relationship well into the future. Miller is arguably the most disruptive pass rusher in the NFL and intends to be paid as such. On Monday, he appeared on NFL Network and made his intentions of getting a long-term deal done with the Broncos clear.

“I can tell you what, I want to be with the Denver Broncos,” he said. “I want to be with Derek Wolfe, Chris Harris, all those guys, everybody on defense, [Demaryius Thomas]. I want to be with those guys for my whole career. Whatever it takes to get it done I’m down for.”

Miller is a man of many talents and is certainly gaining fame in the wake of his Super Bowl victory. “DTWS” will increase his marketability and certainly help show the nation his charisma. The Super Bowl MVP will undoubtedly enjoy his time dancing for a paycheck on ABC and who knows, maybe he will have the show’s Mirror Ball trophy to add to his trophy case when all is said and done.
