ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The Denver Broncos have signed long snapper Thomas Gafford and waived 2015 sixth-round draft pick, Darius Kilgo; the team announced Friday.
Gafford, a seasoned veteran, has been in the league for nine seasons, appearing in more than 100 games during that time. He was a undrafted free agent out of the University of Houston in 2006.
With most of his career coming in Kansas City, Gafford has notched 19 special-teams tackles and recovered one fumble during his stretch in the league. He will wear No. 45 in Orange & Blue.
As for Kilgo, he was drafted by the Broncos out of Maryland in 2015 and appeared in 19 games over the last two seasons, collecting 11 tackles during that time.
The move comes on the heels of current Broncos snapper Casey Kreiter missing practice on Thursday.
