Broncos select CB Lorenzo Doss in the fifth round

With the 164th overall pick in the fifth round, the Denver Broncos have selected cornerback Lorenzo Doss from Tulane.

Doss measures out at a small 5’10, 182 pounds, but runs a brisk 4.47 second 40 yard dash and was looked at as one of the nations top play makers. Unfortunately Lorenzo wasn’t given any favors by NFL scouts coming out of Tulane. Without legitimate tape of Doss facing the nations top competition week-in and week-out, it was hard for the young corner to increase his stock above the third day.

Lorenzo Doss will play special teams and compete with Tony Carter for a spot on the Broncos roster.
