Broncos Pick ‘Em: Who will win the Super Bowl?

Zac Stevens Avatar
January 12, 2024

Another season, another year of the Broncos missing the playoffs.

Wildly enough, half of the Broncos’ wins this year came against teams that made the playoffs. Denver took down the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers in 2023.

Thanks to the New York Jets also missing the postseason, the Broncos’ eight-year drought of missing the playoffs is the second-longest in the NFL.

Before Sean Payton and the Broncos attempt to break that streak next season, one team will be crowned champions this year.

Who will it be? Will it be the Kansas City Chiefs once again? Or will it be the Cleveland Browns led by former Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco? Or a team from the NFC?

The DNVR Broncos Crew gives their official pick.

Who will win Super Bowl LVII?

Zac: Bills — Buffalo was disappointing this year… until it mattered the most.

After sitting at 6-6 at their Bye Week, the Bills are now the hottest team in the NFL, winning their final five games of the season. I could care less about how the Bills looked in October once January rolls around.

Thanks to that run to close out the regular season, the Bills also grabbed the No. 2 seed, meaning the playoffs in the AFC will go through Buffalo for at least the first two rounds.

After the Bills win the Super Bowl, the Broncos will get to say they beat the Super Bowl Champs.

Henry: Ravens — One team stands above the rest in the NFL: The Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore made a change at offensive coordinator, ditching a gimmick offense for a modern, run-first attack. The result is the No. 4 scoring offense in the NFL.

Baltimore’s run game is one of the best in the league by any metric. They’re first in rushing yards, first in rush attempts, third in yards per attempt and fourth in rushing touchdowns. Despite ranking in the bottom three in pass attempts, the Ravens rank fifth in yards per attempt.

Simply put, the Ravens can do anything on offense, and their play style suits playoff football perfectly.

And their defense is better than their offense. Baltimore is first in the NFL in points allowed and takeaways.

The Ravens will win the Super Bowl.

RK: 49ers — Kyle Shanahan’s time has finally arrived. For years now, Shanahan has been one of the best coaches in the NFL but injuries and quarterback deficiencies has kept him from hoisting the Lombardi trophy.

That all changes in 2024.

Shanahan has Brock Purdy playing plenty well enough to win the big game and when you mix in their dominant defense and running game with Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco has all the makings of a team that can win it in a year where many of the teams with top quarterbacks are a bit down.
