All throughout the first half, Denver did something they could not manage to accomplish this season—run the rock as a team. Both rookie Devontae Booker and newly signed Justin Forsett ran make men possessed, opening up the Raiders defense—even though Oakland had everything to play for.

Forsett was up to bat first when he was able to bust a 64-yard shot straight up the middle, his longest this season for any team he played for. Denver had six total games in 2016 where they did not manage 64 yards total on the ground.

Not to be outshined, Booker managed a Demaryius Thomas-like 43-yard screen pass that would give Denver a 17-point halftime lead. The one rushing and one receiving touchdown day for No. 23 was the first time a rookie accomplished the feat since Clinton Portis back in 2002.
