Rookie sixth-round pick Andy Janovich has never touched in the National Football League without scoring a touchdown.
Janovich, a smaller fullback out of the University of Nebraska, had a storybook start to his NFL season Thursday night under the lights of Mile High Stadium. Not only did the former Cornhusker score the first touchdown of his career, but he also scored the first touchdown of the season for the Orange & Blue.
“It’s the first time that I’ve done that in a game,” Janovich said after the win. “It’s a different ballgame than college.”
No. 32 also added that he is living his dream and, “It’s real now.”
The fullback position is pivotal in the Gary Kubiak scheme, and we have a feeling Janovich will be a fan favorite in town very soon if he isn’t already.
