Considering it’s July, there was some excitement for Denver Broncos fans Wednesday. They had a chance to purchase single-game tickets, some of which were half-price, though the quantity was extremely limited.
The tickets went on sale at 11 am MT through Ticketmaster and fans could call or go online. The tickets sold out in a matter of 10 minutes, which isn’t surprising when weighing the fact Denver has some of the most loyal fans in the NFL and the number of tickets were so few.
Many went online and had mixed results. Some walked away displeased while others found the process straight forward.
Colorado transplants living in Nebraska had no problem landing two tickets to the Sunday Night game with the Green Bay Packers coming to town.
Others seemed to have a positive experience as well:
Headed to Denver for week 1 #DENvsBAL. one of these days my luck with half price tickets will run out, but until then #timetoride #broncos

Had a half-price #Broncos ticket for Green Bay cued up but let it go. Would rather watch it at home with my wife than alone in person.

As Patrick Smyth explained following the quick sales, 97 percent of games are taken by season ticket holders and for most of the higher profile games, only single tickets remained. It could have caused some of the issues with fans looking for more than one ticket together, though there were other complaints as well.
@RichKurtzman @BSNDenver I totally got screwed by ticketmaster I had tickets in sec 507 row 4, clicked the Buy button & got an error message

Interestingly, one fan had great success, buying tickets to two different games by using the Ticketmaster app on his phone:
@RichKurtzman had no issues. Bought tix for 2 separate games. Using app was much more effective than website (was using both)

@RichKurtzman I bought one game half price and one game full price. Guessing that is why. I didn’t know that policy existed actually
