When these Broncos are at their best, it always seems the defense makes a huge play in a big moment. On Monday night, as the Broncos handled the Houston Texans, it was a combination of Darian Stewart, T.J. Ward and Todd Davis that made the opportune play.
Stewart and Ward both lowered their helmets and were able to jar the rock loose out of the hands of running back Alfred Blue, right into the waiting hands of Davis, the game’s first and only turnover caused by the Orange & Blue, all but sealing the contest.
“He tried to split the wrong two guys,” Aqib Talib said after the game. “That was a bad decision.”
