With the Denver Broncos trailing the San Diego Chargers 7-3 midway through the second quarter, the Wade Phillips-led squad did what they do best—make game changing plays.
Chargers’ gunslinger Philip Rivers threw a crossing route into traffic and emerging star Bradley Roby was able to tip the rock to himself and travel 49 yards the other way for the touchdown and a Denver lead—a lead that they would not surrender for the rest of the matchup.
Roby, who was in for the injured Aqib Talib, is showing why he was worth that first-round pick just a short time ago.
