Broncos' Defensive Play of the Week: Block off

Down 24-21, Los Angeles Chargers’ rookie kicker Younghoe Koo had a chance to tie the game as time expired and he nailed it… Just one problem, Broncos head coach Vance Joseph called timeout. Enter the man who was given only a futures contract in the spring, No. 96, Shelby Harris.

With seconds left on the play clock, Harris penetrated the line and blocked the would-be game-tying kick to preserve Denver’s 24-21 lead and the sweet, sweet victory.

It may have been a special team play, but it was special enough to earn play-of-the-week honors.
