Broncos' Cody Latimer the victim of a domestic assault, arrested on other charges

In an odd turn of events, Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer was arrested Monday night due to failure to appear in court on April 29th, 2015 for minor traffic violations.

The circumstances by which he was arrested are maybe even more interesting, Latimer called police Monday night as he was the alleged victim of an assault by his girlfriend. Latimer’s girlfriend, Jaimee Rando, was also arrested for assault and disturbing the peace. When police arrived to deal with the event, they discovered that Latimer had a warrant out due to his failure to appear.

Per the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s office, the Broncos young receiver called at 2:40am Monday to report that Rando had “put her hands on him.”

Latimer posted bail for himself and Rando Tuesday morning and missed practice due to the event.

If not for the unpaid parking tickets Latimer would not have been arrested Monday night and is the victim in the domestic violence case. He’s expected to be back at OTA’s this week.
