Broncos Chris Harris Jr. to play Sunday, shoulder feels "way better"

Denver Broncos All-Pro cornerback Chris Harris Jr. just wasn’t himself against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. Not only was he playing with a deeply bruised right shoulder, but a collision early in the game made it worse. Essentially, the Pro Bowler was playing with one arm for the second week in a row.

“I had to play through it against San Diego,” Harris told reporters following the win. “Two games that I have had to fight through this. It’s just football. I have to do the best I can to be me out there. It’s very hard.”

If you’ve ever tried to run while only moving one arm, you know how difficult it can be.

BSN Denver caught up with Chris Harris Jr. on Tuesday morning, during his day off, and the star corner was in good spirits.

“I’m gonna fight through it,” he said. “It actually feels way better than it did last week at this time.”

Harris acknowledged that he will see lots of Julian Edelman on Sunday and is ready to start preparing for the big game.

“Unless I have a setback, I should see full reps this week, not limited,” he explained.

Harris Jr. was one of only three players that played all 67 defensive snaps against the Patriots in week 12 and only gave up two catches beyond the line of scrimmage in that game. The Broncos will definitely be counting on his services during the AFC Championship game on Sunday.
