The Denver Broncos have begun the process of reshaping their defensive line.
As they wait on a decision from Earl Mitchell, who visited the team earlier this week, the Broncos have signed 24-year-old Bobby Richardson as the first move to help their line, as first reported by Mike Klis of 9 News.
Richardson was signed by the New Orleans Saints in 2015 as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana University. The 6-foot-3, 288-pounder started 11 games for the Saints as a rookie at defensive end, recording half a sack, 20 tackles and an interception during that time.
Richardson was released by the Saints in early 2016 and spent time on the practice squads of the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs throughout the year, but never saw action on the field.
Mark this move down as the first of many as the Broncos build their roster up to 90 men.
