George Paton’s initial list of candidates has topped double-digits with coaches from all backgrounds and experience levels.

Friday, January 21, 2022
- The Broncos completed their final interview of the initial 10 candidates on Friday in Kansas City after talking with Eric Bieniemy. George Paton and the search committee will now head back to Colorado, regroup and decide what their next steps will be. A source told DNVR to expect a second round of interviews, although that could change if the Broncos want to move quickly on a candidate.
Thursday, January 20, 2022
- Denver completed their in-person interview with Kevin O’Connell in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Paton and the search committee have now completed nine of their 10 interviews. The final interview will be on Friday with Eric Bieniemy in Kansas City.
- Dan Quinn and other candidates “may prefer other teams to coach” over the Broncos because of Denver’s ownership and quarterback situation, according to Woody Paige.
- The Broncos wrapped up their Zoom interview with Brian Callahan. Paton wanted to conduct as many in-person interviews as possible, but with Cincinatti still in the playoffs, Callahan’s interview had to be over Zoom. Denver’s search committee is in Los Angeles and will interview Kevin O’Connell Thursday evening.

- Paton and Denver’s search committee wrapped up their interview with Jonathan Gannon on Wednesday evening in Philadelphia. Gannon was the second interview of the day for Denver after they met with Jerod Mayo in Providence in the morning.
- Denver’s interview with Brian Callahan will be over Zoom on Thursday due to the Bengals’ playoff schedule.
- The Broncos completed their interview with Jerod Mayo in Providence, Rhode Island on Wednesday morning. Paton and Denver’s search committee will travel to Philadelphia to interview Jonathan Gannon Wednesday evening.

- Dan Quinn wrapped up his interview with the Broncos on Tuesday evening. Denver’s search committee will head to the east coast for two interviews on Wednesday.
- The Broncos completed their afternoon interview with Kellen Moore. Paton and Co. traveled to Dallas on Tuesday to interview both Cowboys’ coordinators. They will interview Quinn over dinner.
Monday, January 17, 2022
- The Broncos tentatively have interviews set up with the three coaches still in the playoffs. Kevin O’Connell and Brian Callahan will interview on Thursday, while Eric Bieniemy will be on Friday.
- Paton and the Broncos’ search committee will fly from Dallas to the east coast to interview Jerod Mayo and Jonathan Gannon on Wednesday.
- Dan Quinn and Kellen Moore will interview with the Broncos on Tuesday in Dallas. Since the Cowboys lost on Sunday, both can be hired at any time.

Paton and Denver’s search committee completed their interview with Packers’ offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett on Saturday in Green Bay. Hackett, 42, is viewed as one of the front runner for the job.

The Broncos’ contingent will return to Colorado before beginning another round of interviews next week. Denver has completed three interviews, but had to wait for the other seven candidates since their respective teams have playoff games this weekend.

- The Broncos completed their interview with Packers’ passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy.
- This was their second interview of the process, after interviewing Lions’ defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn on Thursday.
- Denver’s contingent, led by Paton, will stay in Green Bay overnight and interview Packers’ offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, believed to be a front runner for the job, on Saturday.

- Paton completed his first head coach interview as the Broncos’ general manager on Thursday as the team met with Lions’ defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. The meeting took place in Detroit and wrapped up on Thursday afternoon.
- The search committee will travel to Green Bay to conduct interviews with Packers’ passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy on Friday and Packers’ offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, viewed as one of the front runners, on Saturday.

- Paton and the search committee will kick off their interviews with Lions’ defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn on Thursday in Detroit. The committee with then travel to Green Bay to interview Packers’ offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett on Saturday and Green Bay’s passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy on Friday. The committee will not be able to interview any of the seven other coaches until next week since all of their respective teams have a playoff game this weekend.
