Broncos 2022 Draft Tracker: Denver makes their final pick of the draft

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — For NFL teams, the end of April, not Christmas, is the most wonderful time of the year.

George Paton and the Broncos enter the 2022 NFL Draft with nine picks. But after the blockbuster trade for Russell Wilson, Denver doesn’t have a pick in the first round. In fact, their first pick isn’t until the final pick of the second round.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Broncos’ 2022 draft.

Draft Tracker

Round 1

  • Denver officially did not make a first-round pick after trading the No. 9-overall pick to Seattle in the package for Russell Wilson.

Round 2

  • Drafted OLB Nik Bonitto at pick No. 64.

Round 3

  • Traded No. 75 to Texans for No. 80 and No. 162.
  • Drafted TE Greg Dulcich at pick No. 80.
  • Traded No. 96 to the Colts in exchange for No. 179 (5th round) and a 3rd-round pick next year.

Round 4

  • With their first fourth-round draft pick, Denver selected cornerback Damarri Mathis from Pittsburgh.
  • With their second forth-round pick, the Broncos drafted defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike.

Round 5

  • At pick No. 152, the Broncos selected safety Delarrin Turner-Yell.
  • With the 162nd overall pick, Denver selected wide receiver/returner Montrell Washington from Samford.
  • Trade up from pick 179 to 171, while giving up pick 234.
  • With the 171 pick, the Broncos selected offensive lineman Luke Wattenberg.

Round 6

  • With the 206th overall pick, Denver selected defensive end Matt Henningsen.

Round 7

  • With their last pick in the draft, the Broncos selected cornerback Faion Hicks out of Wisconsin.
