The Denver Broncos’ season opener is just over one week away. But before the 2020 Broncos kick off the season, John Elway, Vic Fangio and Co. must trim the roster down to their final 53-man squad.
Due to COVID-19, the Broncos have a jumpstart on that task already as they’ll be dwindling down their roster from 80 players, instead of the typical 90 in previous years.
By Saturday at 2:00 p.m., the Broncos must have their final roster in place. On Sunday, the team will be awarded any players claimed off waivers and can begin building their expanded 16-player practice squad.
Here’s an updated list of the Broncos that have been cut:
*Note: After trading Isaac Yiadom to the Giants for a 2021 7th-round pick on Wednesday, the Broncos’ roster was down to 79 players.
