It was a long shot, and in the end the Nuggets fell short of moving up in the Lottery for the 13th time in team history. On the bright side the Nuggets didn’t move down for the ninth time in team history, a clear win in the Luck Department. Overall the Nuggets stayed right where their record placed them which is about all you can ask for considering the chaotic nature of the NBA Draft Lottery.
Picking seventh in the 2015 NBA Draft should prove fortuitous for the Nuggets. There’s lots of talent at the top end of the Lottery. By my estimation there are roughly three to four elite prospects and three to four more who could make an All-Star team. After that the talent pool shallows.
