Brandon Spano steps down from radio as BSN launches new show

BSN Denver has grown much faster than I ever anticipated. And honestly, I’m having more fun running this media company than I have ever had doing anything else, including radio. I’ve covered a lot of games, a lot of practices and have done what seems like a million interviews. It was a blast and I would do it all over again if I had the chance, but this is the next step for me in my career.

I’m running BSN Denver full time now. The company has grown into one with 15 writers, plus a full time editor and content manager, a sales department, and we even just signed our first radio host. There is no way I can take three hours out of my day to play radio guy anymore. I’ll still be wandering around Dove Valley from time to time and even posting the occasional Broncos interview or report. Heck, you may even hear me fill-in on one of our programs from time to time.

The good news is that the show lives on. Starting on Monday, July 27th, you will hear The BSN Denver Sports Desk every day from 9am-11am on Mile High Sports Radio AM 1340. The show will be hosted by Adam Kinney and Josh Dover, two bright young talents that have made big splashes in the market from the moment they entered. Adam is our editor and VP of sports content. He started as a weekend host on ESPN Denver, went on to host a show on Mile High Sports, and has a great relationship with every pro sports organization in the market. The other is Josh Dover who started his career at Mile High Sports and was most recently the producer of the Denver Post’s Sports Show and has produced shows on 104.3 The Fan.

For those of you that enjoyed my show throughout this year, you’ll be happy to know that Delano White will also be producing this new show. Delano adds a great ex-athlete perspective and is terrific from a production stand point. We believe that these three will collectively make one of the best shows in the market and give you a reason to tune in every weekday morning.

I want you to know that we have plans to add more radio and television programming and we are always growing the online platform. Hopefully BSN Denver will be your first stop at every media level for years to come.
