The Nuggets held Bojan Bogdanovic to one of his worst shooting performances of the season when Denver and Indiana faced off two weeks ago at Pepsi Center, limiting the forward to just 16 points on 5-12 shooting. But whatever defensive game plan the Nuggets put into action back on March 16 didn’t make its way to Indiana for Sunday’s matinee matchup to close Denver’s four-game road trip.

Bogdanovic put on one of the better offensive performances against the Nuggets this season, scoring 35 points on 13-15 shooting, to go with six rebounds and three assists in only 26 minutes. He subbed out for good at the 2:43 mark of the third with the Pacers holding a comfortable 86-67.

Denver fell 124-88 in one of its worst losses of the season.

The Nuggets couldn’t contain Bogdanovic but also struggled to find good shots on the offensive end of the floor. Denver’s starters combined to shoot only 23-55 (42 percent) from the floor. Nikola Jokic finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists and sat the entire fourth quarter with the Nuggets trailing by 20-plus points. Will Barton added 15 points but on just 5-13 shooting and had four turnovers. Jamal Murray shot just 2-12 from the field and also committed four turnovers.

Fishers, Indiana, native Gary Harris was one of the few bright spots for Nuggets, finishing with 11 points on 5-6 shooting in 26 minutes.

Overall, the Nuggets shot just 35.5 percent from the field and 7-29 (24.1 percent) from three.

The Nuggets committed two turnovers on two of their first three possessions, setting the tone for a night where Denver gave the ball away 17 times. Two nights earlier against the Knicks, the Nuggets only registered eight turnovers.

The Nuggets host the Pistons on Tuesday.
