Four-star wide receiver Juwann Winfree has committed to the University of Colorado. Originally from Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, N.J., Winfree graduated high school in 2014 and played one season at Maryland before playing for Coffeyville Community College in 2015.

After his stint in Coffeyville, Kansas the six-foot-two 195-pound wide out gave a verbal commitment to Pitt but thought twice and decommitted. In addition to Colorado and Pitt, Memphis, Mississippi State and Washington State had interest in him this recruiting cycle.
At Maryland, Winfree was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Freshman, after his 11 catch, 158 yard and two touchdown season in 2014. The final two games of his freshman season were taken away from him as he was suspended for violating the student-athlete code of conduct, this according to the Baltimore Sun. Last June he was suspended indefinitely and he then transferred.
At Coffeyville in 2015, Winfree caught 55 passes for 837 yards, he also tallied seven touchdowns.
With former Maryland strength coach Drew Wilson now on the Buffs staff and former Coffeyville teammate Drew Lewis committed for the class of 2016, Winfree will have some familiar faces around him in Boulder. Now that Beau Bisharat committed Tuesday night, CU has added two four-star players in two days.
Winfree has two seasons of eligibility left and he’s a great enhancement to an already charged Colorado receiving corps.
