Great write up…Bednar is a very good coach, but his message has grown stale and this team needs to be forced out of their comfort zone. He also seems to panic anytime a games is close and shorten his bench to a degree that his “trusted few” are horribly overused and often look exhausted by season’s end. This habit will be even more costly going forward as the Avs will be forced to play guys like Brindley, Gagne who won’t develop playing 7 minutes a night. It also puts unnecessary wear on our elderly top 6. Time for a new vision IMO, but I won’t be upset if he stays.

This is sports. The idea that a championship is like a project that can be completed or not is how sports journalists portray it. But it’s actually just a great deal of good health and some luck. Portraying various levels of tournament success as a failure is just not accurate. Any athlete will tell you that they do their best and give it their all but somedays just don’t work out.
If you have a pro sports team that just wins a lot, be grateful that your ticket will most likely be spent on a game where the home team wins. And quit whining because your team didn’t ” win it all”. That’s a bs metric.
