The Avs, since 2010, have generally drafted so poorly outside the top 10, it’s hard to feel much with the 24th pick. Gotta hope for a good pick, but this draft seems top heavy and an ok 10-18 or so, with a drop off from there. I’m not holding my breath on who we get.

I covet Askarov, but we won’t get him.

Hope they’ve upped their amateur scouting game this year, they’ll need those people to be on point for the next decade to keep this thing going.

Interesting article. After reading this it feels like the pick may have more value for a team that is in its cup window now as a trade piece than a futures asset. Perhaps the Avs are best served to follow the Pittsburgh model and trade the pick. Also seems like a nice pick to dangle for Kuemper.
