AJ who do you see the Avs taking if available at 16? I have narrowed down the three players I would like to see them take – Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Bode Wilde or Joel Farabee…

There’s a good chance none of those are even available at 16. If those are the guys, though, I’d go Kotkaniemi, Wilde, then Farabee.

Love the content AJ. Always something new and interesting at BSN. Keep up the solid work. I’m really looking forward to the draft and all the content BSN has to provide.

Thanks! We’re working hard behind the scenes on setting up our blast of draft (and non-draft) content !

AJ – what do you see as most likely / would advocate for:

1. The Avs trading the pick to either shore up goaltending (e.g Grubauer or a top prospect)

1a. Using a 2nd on one of the Goalie prospect

2. Trading the pick/package for a younger (RFA) winger (e.g. JT Miller or Stone)

3. Trading up if they have fallen in love with a player (e.g. up to 11 if Veleno is available)

4. Just standing pat and playing it out as it stands.

Thanks

I’ll just answer these in order!

1. No.
1a. Yes, expect them to use one of their 2nds on a goaltender.
2. Very unlikely but would make for a fun conversation
3. No need to trade up. Difference between players available at 11 and 16 is very small this year.
4. Very likely!
