I can’t believe that I’m the only one who doesn’t feel Kerfoot is a part-at least an essential part- of this team’s future

Maybe the hockey gods know what we’ll be getting in the summer so they’re punishing the Avs now. I’m fine with that. A little payment in advance.

Maybe the hockey gods will shine their countenance upon us and we will have 2 lottery picks this June

I was at the game. As usual, a very mixed performance. The top line sucked tonight but thankfully Carl made a difference. Why he isn’t on the second line is a mistery!

What baffles me about OT the most is that the Avs can’t seem to find a way to use their top guns effectively. Yes, they controlled possession, but they didn’t do much with it. 3v3 opens up the ice, but the Avs never seem to be able to use 29’s speed or get 96 or 92 in a good shooting position to capitalize on the plentiful space. It’s a special team situation for which the Avs seem poorly prepared.

Other than that I really disagree with the other comment about Kerfoot. He is not the solution. At best he seems to be an opportunistic third line player who can contribute, but at the end of the day is not a difference maker.

Looking at this season, it’s difficult to say whether we will make the playoffs. But with the draft picks coming up and with Makar coming up next year, I think the Avs will be in a much better place soon.
