I feel like there’s at least one team out there willing to take a chance on Val. Since he’s stage 3 the downside of him going back into the program is mitigated by the possibility of a permanent ban at stage 4 level. Would probably have to be a team that’s close but not quite ready to compete.
If they could make the trade agreement in advance they could use that money for Drouin and whatever they decide to do on the left side of the 3rd D pair.

It felt like the plan last season was to have Frankie back up Georgiev while Justus fine-tuned himself at Loveland, then have Justus come up next season and split the net (at least 60-40) to see if either of them deserved a new contract. That can still happen and as long as both stay healthy should be a good situation.

I think we’ll see the best of both Georgie and Mikko in their contract seasons
