Well it was a different type of game for the Avs tonight. Very physical and Blues were relentless. It’s good to bend but not break, even when missing key D-men, but your right, OT is painful to watch. I hope the team learned some lessons tonight – like don’t give away the puck in their own zone so much! Dang!

At some point two questions pop into my mind: (1) do we have enough size and physicality to play deep into the playoffs? (2) is it possible to be any worse in overtime? We never look like we have any plan AT ALL in OT. It is hard to knock Bednar overall, but the team’s OT efforts aren’t even competitive.

It was Kamenev who had the breakaway in OT, not Mikko.

Overall the Avs got punched in the mouth. Blues slowed them down and got them off their game. Good time for it to happen so they can adjust because Nashville, Winnipeg and Minnesota will all do the same to them.

Avs played bad and still got a point which is positive, and they kept that greedy hipster loser off the score sheet

I was so sure O’Reilly was going to end it, especially when they double-shifted him to start overtime

When we lost Johnson it seemed like STL played us like we played BOS with Chara missing, I.e. make the remaining defensemen work extra hard. Alt seemed to be iffy, and I didn’t see him much.

I thought that the game showed just how important EJ is to this team. Let’s hope he is not suspended. Also, we sure don’t have much depth on Defense.
