Wow, spice shot at the Evolving Wild guys in here! Some of their predictions/analysis are a bit out there to say the least, but they are a fun presence on Twitter IMO!

Tons of respect for those guys. But “Mikko Rantanen is overrated” is a clown take. Put it in the same bin as “Kerfoot should’ve won the Selke”

One big takeaway is that all the forwards played at least Jost’s team low 11:30 TOI. That’s good forward usage by Bednar and shows 4 line depth for the first game of the season. And it was noticeable how much TOI the second PP unit was getting, which was pretty good, and got the first goal.

What a great game to be at. The pregame show was awesome and the crowd was nuts.

If Grubauer/Francouz can be slightly better than league average, COL has a shot at making a deep run this year. It’s nice to see legitimate forward depth. Exciting way to start the season.
