I’m going to put my two cents behind AJ on this Pod. It’s long been my pet peeve that writers that over value longevity, dumb down what a Hall Fame should be. Which in my opinion should be a remembrance of greatness. To say a Backstrom should get in “because he got that 1000th point”, instead of “that was one of the greatest assist guys ever”. Takes the Hall to little more than a score sheet review. Rudo, it sounds more like you are a vanilla hall guy as opposed to a “small hall” guy. Guys like Carey Price and Erik Karlsson were the best in the game in their respective primes and should absolutely be remembered for that.
Oh, and if we are going to call ourselves an Avalanche Podcast and discuss defensemen who changed the way the position was played, there was this guy they called Ozo… Just sayin’
