Allie Monroy is joined by an All-Star panel of DNVR beat reporters to discuss a variety of sports topics in the Mile High City.
With Ryan Koenigsberg, AJ Haefele, Drew Creasman and Brendan Vogt, the squad goes over the Nuggets and Avs big weeks, and the Broncos “best” loss of the season?
The show wouldn’t be complete without the usual “Who Won the Week” debate.

I think AJ’s not exactly characterizing Avs fans dislike of the “Duuub” chant. It’s not necessarily the chant per se, it’s a) they were doing it in someone else’s building (here), b) they do it in our building every time he moves a muscle including the most pedestrian of saves (to be fair, Avs fans have started to do that with ‘Gruub’ and it annoys the shit out of me) and c) the Wild and their fans suck.
In regards to a) above, I heard quite a bit of ‘Gruub” in Vegas a few weeks ago, especially as the game went on, I did it myself when he stopped that breakaway late in the game, it just sort of came out of my mouth uncontrollably but it was a yell and not a chant. I could see where it would piss off Vegas fans that people would do that in their building but I’m not a Vegas fan so I don’t really care. I’ve also heard their lifelong stalwarts chanting ‘Suuuub’ here a few times right before Malcolm Subban got shelled and my only response was to laugh.

I will throw out another random cross sports question that can be applied many ways:
1.) Who is the fastest player on each team? (Pure speed)
2.) Who would win in a race between all of these players? (Foot or skates your choice)
Cherry Pie is Colorado’s pie just because people thought they were talking about the song not the dessert.

Who is the best team in Denver right now? Avs or Nuggets?
The two teams are so similar in their respective leagues that it’s really its hard to say which squad is better. Nuggets have a far better record, but I’m going with the Avs because of their star trio of Mackinnon, Rantanen and Makar.

Which team would a championship mean the most to right now? Meaning the most impact on the franchises future. Even if they can never win a championship… lol
