Great pod, I agree with all of it, particularly the part about the idiots saying “we’re fine, we don’t NEED Taylor Hall.” We need every Taylor Hall we can reasonably get our hands on. If Joe didn’t like the price or the chances of re-signing him, so be it. We certainly could have made good use of Taylor Hall.

Question for you guys: At the end of last season when the Avs we’re fighting to stay in the race, Bednar emphasized the need to be in the mindset to win 1-0 games. He did it the year before also, if memory serves. Was that the mindset required last night and every time they play the Blues? Looking at who the Blues have lost to, the list includes: NYI, AZ, and Nashville 2X, all teams built around D and goaltending. I recognize that to some extent you have to be who you are but the Avs did seem to come closer to that 1-0 mindset at the end of last season. Do they need to play a consciously different game when against St Louis? They certainly also played that way in Game 82 two season ago.
