I remain optimistic on Jost but agree with most of what was said here. I think after last year you could possibly make an argument that he wasn’t given enough ice time but after this season there’s really none to be made there.
One aspect of what happened after the trade deadline gives me some additional hope. I believe for the first time in his career he finally looked comfortable playing on the wing. If true, that makes it a little easier to keep him around and fit him in.
I still believe he’s going to be be a 50 point player in the NHL. He continues to figure it out and he’s going to shoot higher than the 7% he shot this year, that’s almost a given.
