Enjoy learning about all the analytics, but I’m still a bit more old school. Yeah they can give you a big picture view of what’s going on, but hockey is still a game played by athletes (elite ones at this level) and I have yet to see a stat that can measure the sheer will and determination of a player in a given situation. Thus those terms like “clutch” and big game” player will always endure.

Have you considered occasionally doing “Hockey metrics 101” segments (or partial segments) where you explain an advanced stat or 2?
