The comments about Bednar being damned if he does or damned if he doesn’t regarding the lines and “why would you want to run that back” only make sense if Bednar had left the lines alone the last few games. But, unless I’m watching some other games in a parallel universe, he hasn’t. He’s continually dicked with the lines almost on a shift by shift basis and they’ve scored 2 goals in 3 games. Why would you want to run THAT back? Maybe, just maybe, leave things alone for just a little bit and see if you do any better than 2 goals in 3 games.

Also (and I actually really like Bednar) he does it even in the best of times. He freaking scratched one of the only D’s to score a goal the game after he scored. He bounced G and Makar back and forth as QB on PP1 while they were winning every game. At some point you need to let guys settle into a role a little bit so they don’t play like they’re afraid of their own shadow (like G and Makar have looked the last few games).
