The BSN Avalanche Podcast is back a little early this week and hosts J.J. Jerez and AJ Haefele had plenty to talk about as the Colorado Avalanche losses to the Washington Capitals and St. Louis Blues provided plenty of conversation fodder despite the Avalanche not being competitive in either game. The guys talk about styles and how far the Avalanche really are from being a Stanley Cup contender in contrast with the Caps, who appear to be on a war path.
The hit from Tom Wilson on Nikita Zadorov that left Zadorov concussed comes into question and the Matt Duchene 30th goal celebration and Patrick Roy’s subsequent comments about it are also hot topics of discussion before getting to some of the surprises and disappointments for the Avalanche this season. The show, as always, finishes with a few questions from our loyal listeners.

I definitely enjoy the podcast. Keep it up guys! Thanks for the information you pass along both on the site and in the podcast. I hope you guys can get some wind of the type of changes the Avs will be looking at doing. I am honestly upset that there is even talk of trading Duchene but nothing surprises me anymore with this organization. Once they traded Drury back in the day, the Avs have never been the same.
