This…This, right here. This is why Dater is an extremely poor substitute for J.J. Dater just doesn’t get it. You both tried SO HARD to explain the situation with Vegas going into the next expansion draft, and he just REFUSED to understand. I understand his respect his knowledge and connections…But he just doesn’t get it.

There are times I get serious heartburn with Dater’s behavior on the podcast.
His need to interrupt and take over the conversation have shut down the opinions of others countless times and is a really big problem. I want to hear everyone’s opinion, not just his.
I do agree that JJ is an easier listen. But I do think Dater understands what was being explained to him, but he just has a different opinion and dug his heels in on it. He does that quite a bit…until he, sometimes, comes around and concedes.

I just think, once you make a deal, you have to honor it and not change it just because a team did better than anyone expected. Plenty of teams have gotten unfair breaks in this game over some stuff. But I don’t even think it’s unfair.

I’m going to have to disagree hard with Gobs and JP here. Dater’s sometimes hardheaded, grumpy, disagreeable attitude is one of my favorite things about these. If I wanted to listen to people sitting around agreeing with each other I would join a Church.

Gardening is the ultimate summer project AJ, as long as you don’t over-complicate it.
Vegas has been so much fun to watch all year. I only despise them when they play the Avs. I have a hockey crush on many of their players, also dat coach. Wouldn’t Reilly Smith look great on our 2nd line? I think so.
Reilly Smith has some issues but yeah he’s a legit NHL player. Weird to me both Boston and Florida were so quick to move on from him. Gonna look more into this gardening thing…

I got your back AJ on this… it’s about equality to me. Should not have been exempt from the Seattle draft even if they were BAD in my opinion… it just means the player available to them is as good as the team.

An announcer was talking about Ryan Reaves saying that Vegas practices different than any other team he’s been with. Reaves says most of what they do is on-ice drills related to various aspects of the game. They don’t just skate to stay in shape, they do drills.
