I believe a little bit in fate. Not a lot but I do. Every time we talk about Zegras I flash back to Makar in 2017. More skilled than anyone else but risky. Quotes from insiders saying he’ll be the biggest steal of the draft. It’s feels like we’re being forced against our will into something great happening once again. Shoved into a draft slot where we end up with something amazing. NJ and NY enjoy this year’s Hischier and Patrick and we get the real prize. I’m really starting to hope we take him.
I’ll also be fine with Turcotte/Byram/Dach.

Also, given all the Tweets on him today, I’d be just fine with Joe sending Greer or the equivalent level prospect and say Ottawa’s 3rd to Edmonton for Puljujarvi. He was pretty damned close to 2016’s version of Kakko, he probably skates better than Kakko if his recovery from surgery goes ok and he has great hands. He would be worth taking a chance on.
