Question for next pod: Will the avs make a push closer to the end of the season to get a Rantanen contract done to avoid the so called “summer of offersheets?” Same for guys like JT, Kerf & Z

I don’t claim to know anywhere near what the BSN guys do but my understanding of it is Mikkos agent wants to wait until the end of the season. Sakic wanted to lock him in earlier this year and save some money, where his agent is fine with letting Mikko dominate all season and then sign a fat contract this summer. No way around it, we are gonna have to shell out some big money for Mikko. His agent was smarter than Macs. Too bad we couldn’t have signed him for 6.5 mil for 8 years. I mean the cap space is there but if you can save 4 or so million that’s another solid player or even two good depth guys.

Gents – how do roster transfers to/from Loveland work? For instance with Jost, who would be the person most likely to start the ball rolling? Who would be involved in the discussion? Who has the ultimate authority to make the transfer? Does the decision discussion happen to the player first, or does it go through the agent?

Pod Question: Is the big surge from Carl an indictment of Bednar’s historic usage, shooting percentage driven, a change in effort/ mindset, or all of the above?

Don’t know if this is a question y’all can answer or not, but do you know why I can’t purchase a MacKinnon Authentic Jersey on the website? The dropdown list doesn’t list his name. Does he have an endorsement deal that conflicts with Adidas?

I’m just guessing, but I bet Panarin wants to be in New York for proximity to home, out on the east coast quicker flights to Russia. Not to mention the big city life.

Love the BSN Avs podcasts. Always some super solid thinking and support. Even when I disagree, I can get it and follow that line of thinking. That keeps me coming back. Keep it up!

Next pod question – Of Forwards, D-Men, and Goalies, which are you guys worried the most for next year? I can feel out trends for each except for our goalie situation that worries me.
