Excellent pod. Really like the approach of you guys focusing on the prospects you believe that the Avs are focused on. AJ and Rudo are a damned near perfect combination to discuss this stuff. If you’re enough of an Avs fan that you’re reading these comments but you don’t follow Rudo on twitter you need to – you’re really missing out if you don’t. His in-game video clips are essential.
AJ – what do you think about Friedman floating the idea (twice now) of the Avs taking Podkolzin? Would it be a good pick (he’s fallen on a lot of rankings)? Could it happen? I understand we need to be careful of video but that youtube video of him at the Gretzky-Hlinka Cup is pretty compelling. That shot combined with his intensity would be a really nice addition.

It’s funny, like everyone else my opinion on that 4th pick changes daily but yesterday I was coming down to exactly the conclusion that you guys mentioned vis a vis the expansion draft. We’re likely going to lose a defensemen so why not get another top tier one for insurance. That strategy requires signing a legit scoring threat in free agency though.

Absolutely loved the pod AJ. Listening to you and Rudo deeply analyze prospects and their potential fit in Colorado is amazing. Definitely bring Rudo back for a pod before the draft. Looking forward to it. Keep up the amazing work.
