On playing Makar in the playoffs, I don’t see the upside for anyone.
It doesn’t matter one bit to me how dominant he has been this year at the college level. I think it’s a stretch to think he would have any type of meaningful impact in the NHL playoffs. It has been said many times that this isn’t the year the Avs could win it all. I would agree with that. And I think they’re more than one player away from having a legit shot a skating with The Stanley Cup.

gotta disagree with Timmons and Kamanev. Timmons will always get a second, third and fourth look. Not so with Kamanev. And I don’t think how much it hurt the Avs when we lost Kamanev as our 4th line center.

‘- Makar wasn’t just ‘presumably’ a fan of the Flames, he’s tweeted about them in the past, most recently when they retired Iginla’s number.

– If they have a chance to play Makar they should absolutely play him. He’s capable of electrifying the playoffs for the Avs. Look no further than what Poehling did Saturday. The Avs need every bit of help they can get.
