Why make such a big deal about Will Butcher? I don’t know if NJD is saying the same thing about Kerfoot, but the AVS signed TWO college players that walked away from their draft teams even though they lost their own (Butcher). Are NJD fans/players looking forward to Kerfoot possibly playing against them in a few days and telling each other to give him an extra hit?? Sounds pretty silly if they are– the players both did what was within their rights, that’s all. Think of it like a one for one trade, Kerfoot for Butcher and suddenly it doesn’t seem so bad…
Totally agree. The Avs took a chance when they didn’t sign Butcher before last season and that risk failed. Butcher had an all time great college season and earned the right to pick his NHL team. He picked a team that was going to give him the best chance to get a big payday on his second contract. Same thing with Kerfoot.
