I’m no expert but to my understanding the holdup is usually with the governments as far as immigration goes. The US is terrible with immigration policy bogging things down and the federal government couldn’t care less if the person is a professional athlete or not. Paperwork winds up in the same backlogged pile. Baseball runs into many similar issues.

back to negative dater, one point of podcast says its early season and wont read into much, then says they “taking playoffs for granted and getting complacent”, total projection and lazy old dater lamesauce. that is literally what the whole team had to spend all lat 2 months answering that dumb question, wow. Bad Dater is back.
