Not sure if it’s just my app but it looks like this cut off early. AJ was mid sentence at the end of the podcast.

It all played for me. Great Podcast and great Avs coverage AD & AJ. This is a great time for the Avs as they reassert themselves in the NHL. The future is bright. I liked the yellow brick road analogy. I will follow them to OZ. Let’s just hope they have put the self satisfied – complacent bug in the rear view mirror and keep the pedal to the metal with some serious underdog we are gonna kick some ass attitude.

That game felt like the light at the end of a 10 year tunnel. It seemed like a team achieving critical mass and just kicking the shit out of a bunch of posers. I can’t remember how long it’s been since I had the feeling of not wanting a game to end. I mean, I wanted it to end because of Calgary gooning it up and not wanting to see anyone get hurt. But there was no fear of losing.
I don’t know if I was frothing at the mouth but I was involuntary screaming “Cale, Cale, Cale” after he scored. So much so that some dudes a couple rows back were doing the same later in the game half busting on me and I think half as tribute. I didn’t care either way. After 2 years of sending crappy videos and every article published on him to anyone who would listen it was just so incredible that he would have that sort of game on that stage.
Cale Makar skates and moves like liquid silk. The Natural.
The pom-pom from that one gets saved.
I’ve been to enough playoff games to know how much louder it gets but that was freaking bananas.
I loved the crowd’s strategy of keeping them from yelling ‘red’ by simply singing the damned anthem. Brilliant.
I know that was Graham MacKinnon next to Mr. Makar and Frankie and Kaut next to Mrs. Makar but was that also Landy Sr. in front of MacKinnon? Love that Frankie and Kaut were there for that crowd and hope that Bowers and Timmins were also. I think I ripped my pants when Dater said that Breadman’s agent was there. If they get him, Ferland and Dach over the summer… damn.
