I didn’t think they were going to win either of those games fellas. Totally expected losses. Dallas and Nashville were home, hungry, and good. Plus Rinne and Bishop. I’m just glad the Avs didn’t get lit up worse.

Real talk. Regarding the team’s leadership: While I have always admired the professionalism of Landeskog (e.g. his post-game comments) and do not question his sincerity, I feel he is just not a vocal leader by nature. When you couple that with Coach Bednar’s non-emotive demeanor, I think you run the risk of missing the ‘spark factor’. I’ve always thought Duchene had real leadership ability, but this organization has been loathe to let him assume the role — not just recently but for years.
