I wish every Avs fan could been at the 3×3 just to see Makar’s first trip down the ice. It was literally breathtaking. I’m pretty sure I gasped out loud and I wasn’t the only one. He took the faceoff pass in the far corner and freaking flew down the ice around the net and a couple guys (don’t remember who but it was the first shift so probably Kaut and Morrison were out there) head up the entire way. It’s at about 16:20 in this clip (pretty blurry but worth watching):

Kaut looked really, really good in the offensive end, had 2, should have had a 3rd on a clean breakaway. Offensively he looked NHL ready, defensively he didn’t. His first goal was a bang-bang pot of a quick pass. Really quick hands.

Morrison looked much better than during camp (I was at the Friday and Saturday morning sessions). I agree that his game is not made for any of those drills. Bowers looked just as good as he did during camp. He’s going to contribute at an NHL level. Smooth and powerful skater. Lewis was a little disappointing, maybe because he looked so damned impressive the previous days. The quick hands were there but he seemed to have a problem getting to the net. Francouz was head and shoulders the best goalie out there, Kvaca #2, just as they looked at camp and just as you would expect.

You guys really need to ignore people taking shots at trade reporting. 99% of us know that you’re hearing bits and pieces of stuff that’s happening in real time and that the participants are trying to keep from getting out. Tell us what your hearing. If whiny babies have a problem because they thought they were getting a new toy but ended up not getting it, screw ’em. We want to hear what you’re hearing.

I hope the Avs offer sheet Nylander. 8 million for 6 or 7 years. We have the picks and will hardly notice we gave them away because of having Ottawa’s 1st and 3rd. Make that little dweeb Dubas sweat.

The corporations can call it whatever they want, but it will ALWAYS be Mile High Stadium to most of us lol.

Guess you don’t have to worry about that ELC now.
Avs make a big mistake by letting him walk out the building without that Contract signed.
