A question for a future podcast.
Do you think the Avs would ever consider Mats Zuccarello as a viable trade pick up? He’s a dynamic player in my mind.
Thanks.

Connor Timmins hasn’t come up in a while… he went home, supposedly to recharge… is he in danger of entering Joey Hishon territory? How much of a setback is it for him to lose the past 6 months of development?

The problem with Joey Hishon was that he was always a bust candidate since the day we drafted him…. Those were the Rick Pracey days.

Interesting podcast. Surprised you guys didn’t mention Bowers’ 2 goals including the game winning OT shortie on Saturday. He also was the net front screen on their first goal, I thought he actually deflected it in on first viewing. He’s pretty much the entire BU team just as you guys said. Game’s on ESPN+ for viewing. I predict he will spend very little time if any in the AHL. Something about him makes me think he’s going to come in and really surprise people. He’s a finished looking hockey player with a presence about him.
If Makar continues what he’s doing at UMass we’re going to be so teased by the time he shows up that first game will be a freaking event. Maybe not Forsberg’s first game in the ’02 playoffs level of anticipation but people are gonna be pretty jacked at the Can.

Question for the podcast that maybe you can ask the Kroenke folks about. I know they closed off a good chunk of the media access at the top of the Pepsi Center for renovations last year. As someone who sat below all that, I was disappointed when they removed most of the tvs, as it was clutch viewing during tv timeouts. I know this year, it appears to be usable space again and looks kind of a like premo area (I may have spotted a fancy chandelier). What are the Avs doing with that new area above the 340s?

Season ticket holder here — its a new party suite. It looks pretty fancy but I’ve only seen it in use maybe twice. Opening night againt Minny and last week against Nash. You know how money-hungry KSE is, but they’ve probably grossly overpriced it so that interest in booking it is minimal.
