I only made it 29 minutes into this one before I had to turn it off. AD, not one of you better performances.
Adrian Dater
Sorry. Always striving to be better.

I enjoyed the podcast. Thanks for the info on Barberio. His injury is vague and I’m glad you guys addressed it. I upgraded my monthly subscription to an annual with the discount code. Appreciate the extended coverage of my favorite team!
Adrian Dater
Thank you

I feel like if you are going to give criticism, it’s got to be constructive. Just telling AD, “not one of your better performances”, does nothing to identify what it was that you feel he could do better.

I agree. I have found that AJ and Dater are receptive to specific feedback for sure.
With that in mind I have some specific feedback for Jesse. Your joke about women’s hockey might have a chance at being funny in a different era or maybe even from a different guy. You made a joke about domestic violence during a podcast earlier this season when you compared something from a game as having “more holes than Varly’s girlfriend.” This shows a pattern which means the women’s hockey comment can’t be just ignored as “just a joke.” Also, maybe consider the times we live in and give some thought to the idea that we should all just lay off jokes about women right now.
AJ, you’re in charge. This is your responsibility to clean this up.

I’m pretty sure the judge and jury decided Varly’s girlfriend’s story was “full of holes” (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2613371-semyon-varlamov-awarded-126k-in-civil-case-vs-former-girlfriend), which calls into question the allegation of domestic abuse. If you have a problem you should probably take it up with the justice system. So, I don’t really see Jesse’s earlier comment as a joke about domestic violence. More a joke about false accusations.
Regarding the women’s hockey comment… I think you’re being a little over-sensitive here. If your response to the monstrous behavior of a shocking (and growing) number of men is to begin policing — and assuming malice in — any comment that touches on the female half of the population, you’re trivializing the very real transgressions that have taken place, and continue to take place. Besides that, I didn’t interpret Jesse’s ironic segue as anything more than a joke about how inconsequential the Avs/Sabres game was compared to the U.S./Finland Olympic matchup.

BSN please do something about your comments forum. There’s no way to know when someone replies to a comment. So there’s really no way hash it out at all. We need Disqus or something.
