I have a theory about Stienberg. Both he and Newhook went to the same prep school (though not at the same time), St Andrews College Prep. Did several team’s scouts talk to the coach there about Newhook and get an earful and some tape that isn’t generally available on Stienberg? It’s also a minor version of another Avs pattern (both guys same school).

Concerning Stienburg. Maybe the Avs are going to start growing their own 3rd and 4th line guys? The kind of players that are good at it. Seems like the old standard template of putting the young skill guys there is completely a waste of time. You end up with “Josts” having no business on the line or “Greers” who do nothing but bitch and moan. Just pondering.

Steinburg and Beaucage = projects for development. Who knows?
