Let’s all agree that JT compher is a freaking animal. And it seems to me that he and the two youngsters on the second line have some serious chemistry. Not to knock Colin Wilson, but JT is just better with those two. When will Bednar stop being stubborn and put him with those two do you guys think??
And any Timmins updates? Haven’t heard anything for a while and it’s scary if he’s not even skating.

I think part of the problem with Compher playing with Kerfy and Jost is that Kerfoot and Jost are both centermen. I think if he does go to that line, Kerfoot should stay at C and put Compher on the wing. With Jost ramping it up and Compher just killing it right now, it could give the Avs a deadly 1-2 punch, and make teams pay more attention to someone not part of the 3-headed monster.

aj you were on fire in this one! Both you guys were. Super fun listen.
I don’t have twitter but I wanted to ask AJ: What are your thoughts on Alex Newhook? That kid looks inssaaanely talented when I watch his youtube clips, but I know youtube hype is dangerous. Was wondering on your thoughts if the avs could look at him if we land a late top ten pick from ottawa.
Always YouTube responsibly! Unless it’s a shift by shift, don’t put any stock in to highlight reels.

What do you feel about a Kamanev-Soderberg- Compher pairing as our #2 line? Soderberg feels completely underutilized and being held down by his linemates.

What do the Avs really have in Cam Morrison and Nick Henry? All players develop at different rates, but realistically what are their ceilings? Also how much of a role will total number of contracts (isn’t it 50) be in their status w/the organization?

The officiating looks very consistent to me. The refs wear yellow jerseys, the black and white stripes are merely an optical illusion in Nashville.

Questions for the Pod:
1) Where the F is Connor Timmons?
2) Why do the Preds have the worst team name in all of sports?
3) Why are Preds fans generally (there are exceptions, I’m just talking about the chants at Bridgestone arena) the most classless folks in sporting history?
4) Is it possible that the worst team name and the worst fans have some sort of correlation to each other? Like do you think it’s a “which came first” kind of situation?

Point of order: Is “Predators” worse than “Wild”? In my mind it’s a really close call. Preds fans on Twitter showing off their hockey smarts are a nearly endless source of amusement.

With the trade deadline looming, is there any chance the Avs move their own (presumably late) first rounder for another playable piece given they’ll still have Ottawa’s first?

PodQ: is your game day work at all affected when the game is a national media broadcast? Does it affect the players’ mentality?
