Our altitude is a double edged sword at times. Looking forward to spending less time on the road for a while. Now we can start using it to our advantage.

So, will Bednar ever give Grubi consecutive starts, AD? I’m not on the Varly hate-wagon, but I think he needs some time off. I get that it’s another stupid b2b, but…

I don’t buy it.
Both teams had the same amount of time to adjust to altitude.
The Avs got outplayed, pure and simple.
The Oilers goalie was very good, Varly not so much.
And I think Varly has been overplayed so he’s tired, while Gruby has been underplayed, so he’s rusty.
Other teams seem to be able to adapt to the Avs and change their approach, while the Avs try to stick to the same approach and get confused when the other teams do something different.
Besides, the Avs need a crisis… they’re not used to being at the top, so they need a little panic.
Last complaint: they don’t quite have the depth they need, yet.

Also, they are a young team and need to mature into a more consistent team. It did not help that Mac had trouble controlling his emotions. Mac, use that emotion to play, not whine.
